Our composer is JS Bach. He was born on March 21st, 1685. He was the son of Johann Ambrosious, court trumpeter for the Duke of Eisenach and director of the musicians of the town of Eisenach in Thuringia. When he was eight years old he went to the Old Latin Grammar school. Johann played various instruments at a young age. His mother died when he was young and his father passed away when he was just nine years old, which made him stay with his brother Johann Christopher Bach . When his brother Christopher was learning music, Sebastian stole his sheets and copied them. Christopher asked in the middle of the night to ask him who was playing his music that he yet not mastered to play. JS.Bach first played violin and organ at a low level position in the ruling court in Weimar and in Neukirche , Arnstadt,beginning in 1703.In October 1707 Bach married his cousin Maria Barbara Bach.They would eventualy have seven children.Bach moved in another post in 1717 as Kapellmeister. It was in Cothen at the court of Prince Leopold. When Bach was in the service of the courts,he was needed to compose a big deal of music. He needed to compose orchestra dance suites,trio sonatas for various instruments,concerts for various orchestras and instruments,and hundreds of pieces for solo keyboards.
